Poems
Balance
Balance, alas, just what I need.
To stop the flow before I bleed.
I ask you this upon my knee.
Darling, my love, will you marry me?
Oh, but what a fool, that’d be me.
I beg you darling not to see.
This wounded soul lost at sea.
If only you’d to this agree.
Oh, but I will only ask once of thee.
A demons breath you will not breath.
But the sweet scent of your love to be.
Darling, won’t you marry me.
Oh, I’ll only ask twice this of ye.
Darling will you love me.
These awful poems will seize to be.
If you agree to marry me.
Oh, I’ll only ask thrice this of thee.
I swear our love I’ll never flee.
But wait poor fool, that’d be me.
My darling, she’s engaged to marry!
Well, just ignore the rants of this crazy;
A more unbalanced soul you’ll rarely see.
I’ll just return to my place to be,
And dream a dream of you and me.
Darkness Is Not a Flower
Darkness is not a flower my love.
Its an evil seed.
Sown by wickedness.
It’s fruit, bitter failing memories.
Memories of you my love.
The one whose left behind.
The one I wanted for myself.
The one who wouldn’t be mine.
Darkness is not a flower my love.
It is a bitter parting memory.
Of a life I wished we had.
A story of you and me.
A story of you and me my love.
The life that’s left behind.
A life the heavens did want.
But spoiled with evil signs.
Darkness is not a flower my love.
I’ll damn him to the end.
Darkness reared his ugly head.
And to hell he did us send.
Soul Doth Depart
A wind it doth blow.
From a high mountain peak.
My soul it doth carry.
For my lover to seek.
Over Sea, over land.
My heart it doth fly.
To embrace love’s soft hand.
Or surely I’ll die.
I’ll perish today.
If I can’t reach her heart.
I send for you now.
My soul doth depart.
My corpse lie still.
My spirit possessed.
With love for you.
I am obsessed.
Awaken I won’t.
Not till I have found.
The heart of my love
Whence my spirit bound.
Bright and happy child
He is the bright and happy child.
The one who giggles, snickers and smiles.
To be with him is a ray of light.
How can I miss his budding life?
His heart is good and hearty too.
I do not worry he’ll get the blues.
Yet he is human as we all.
I do hurt him after all.
I hurt him by not being there.
To laugh with him and lose all care.
This is my most unwelcome sin.
To not be there to see him grin.
My heart does scream in burning pain.
To not see my boy each and every day.
To not be there to watch him grow.
I love him more than he’ll ever know.
Staring Blankly into Space
A birthday I forgot.
A sea shell on the floor.
I’m sorry for those regrets.
They won’t happen anymore.
Let me make it up to you.
Let me right the wrong I did.
If I could but touch you softly;
And caress your golden head.
Yet you are far from me;
In a northern place.
I sit here in the south;
Staring blankly into space.
Starring blankly into space.
Dreaming of the one I love.
Waiting for to meet again.
A true blessing from above.
We could sail the 7 seas.
Roam Earth’s vast lands.
Together you and me.
Together hand in hand.
Bitter Eyes
He looks towards me with bitter eyes.
His brow furrowed, lips terse.
A pain does burrow deep inside.
I the cause: chapter and verse.
He longs for guidance, warmth and love.
He wants a man to show the way.
A man’s shadow from above.
Someone to follow each and every day.
I do pray to heaven’s reign;
one day to console and reprieve.
To make amends for the pain.
to give all love and heal all misery.
All misery that I have wrought.
I’m the cause: for selfish deeds.
Loneliness haunts, and freedom bought.
I’m the cause his little heart bleeds.
Heavens, what have I done?
Is there no better way,
to show my love for my son?
I rue this life each and every day.
Darkness Upon the Hour
When darkness comes upon the hour.
When soul is empty and devoured,
By bitter memories and broken lives.
By pain unbearable to the eyes.
When the shadow covers heart and soul.
No breath to breath, no love to show.
Night will rear his ugly head.
To twist and turn all night in bed.
When the darkness covers soul of life.
He leaves only pain and strife.
Pain unbearable to the eyes.
To suffer under brooding skies.
A Selfish Fuck
Darkness grows ever cold.
Enveloping heart, chilling bones.
Lost my Darling, my sweet love.
For foolish deeds, a selfish fuck.
Wish I'd been a better man.
To take my darling hand in hand.
Please her heart and her soul.
Bring her joy, a happy home.
If I could but caress her soft head.
I'd swear all my love or wish me dead.
To dream away of her sweet breath.
Slowly panting upon my neck.
All of her and nothing less.
Yet me, damned fool, who lost his Jess.
